View of Hiro Yamagata’s installation “Quantum Field X3” for Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. Yamagata wants us to “see the light in itself”, to learn how to look into it and how to look at the world through it.
Quantum-X3 consists of two huge structures covered with holographic panels, onto which laser beams are projected to create a vibrant composition. Visitors entering the structures are given a stunning experience of light and color that their unaided senses would find almost impossible to perceive. Exceeding the natural limits of human perception, the work makes light particles visible to the naked eye in fascinating play of light and form. via Guggenheim Museum
